KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has concluded his official visit to China and returned home. His plane landed at Tribhuvan International Airport a short while ago, according to his secretariat.

Oli had traveled to China on August 30 at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit.

Established in 2001, the SCO is now considered one of the world’s largest regional organizations.

Its full members include China, Russia, India, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Iran, and Belarus, while Afghanistan and Mongolia participate as observers.

Several countries, including Nepal, are involved as dialogue partners.

During the visit, Oli held meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Vice President Han Zheng, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and other leaders.

The 23-member Nepali delegation included Oli’s wife Radhika Shakya, two ministers, Nepali Congress Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka, Economic Advisor Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwada, and journalists.
