KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to address a meeting of the House of Representatives today, focusing on his recent official visit to Spain where he attended the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4).

According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Prime Minister Oli will brief lawmakers on the outcomes of the conference and the significance of Nepal’s participation.

The FfD4 conference, convened by the United Nations, brought together global leaders to discuss development financing challenges and solutions for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

During his visit, PM Oli held bilateral talks with UN Secretary-General António Guterres, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, and several other high-level dignitaries.

Discussions reportedly focused on development cooperation, climate finance, and support for Least Developed Countries (LDCs), including Nepal.

Prime Minister Oli also addressed a dedicated session for LDCs, where he highlighted Nepal’s development priorities and called for increased international support to ensure equitable growth and resilience in vulnerable economies.
