LALITPUR: Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ chairman of the main opposition CPN-Maoist Centre, has sharply criticized the current government, accusing it of deepening corruption and leading the country toward failure.
Speaking at the launch of the ‘YCL Campaign for Labor Production’ in Lalitpur on Thursday, he warned that wherever this government operates, corruption follows, and if it continues ignoring public sentiment, the opposition will be compelled to take to the streets.
Prachanda highlighted that Nepal stands at a complex and critical crossroads concerning its constitution, republic, good governance, social justice, and economic prosperity.
He urged strengthening bonds with the people and focusing on labor and production to promote these values.
Emphasizing the power of youth organization, Prachanda stated that meaningful change and success against those reversing progress can only be achieved through a united and mobilized younger generation.
He cautioned that despite repeated warnings, if corruption persists and the government opposes public will, the opposition will intensify its protests beyond parliamentary arenas.
