KATHMANDU: Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, has stated that the controversy surrounding visit visas is not a new issue.
Speaking at a press conference organized by the Press Center Chitwan on Tuesday at his residence in Shivanagar, Dahal said the problem dates back to 2064 B.S. (2008).
He emphasized the need for investigation and policy-level reforms to address the issue, adding that it will not be overlooked. “This issue cannot be left unresolved. If necessary, constitutional amendments, new laws, or policy decisions will be made,” he said.
Reaffirming his commitment, Dahal asserted, “Even if I step aside, the Nepali people will not let this issue go.”
