KATHMANDU: CPN(Maoist Centre) Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ said Nepal is in a deep national crisis and entering a “phase of confrontation between imperialism and socialist revolution.”

Addressing the Martyrs Foundation Nepal assembly in Parisdanda on Saturday, he said the peace process remains incomplete but efforts are ongoing both in and out of government.

Calling the present situation “a signal of socialist revolution,” he said recent events prove the revolution is near if public anger is properly organized.

Prachanda paid tribute to martyr families, saying delayed results have caused frustration but reaffirmed his commitment to complete the peace process.

He warned that Nepal’s independence and sovereignty face serious threats, adding, “Now the question is whether the socialist revolution will stop imperialism or be swallowed by it.”

He urged unity among leftist, patriotic, and revolutionary forces to defend the republic and sovereignty.

Prachanda praised youth protests against corruption as a sign of renewed political awakening and said the crisis can only be overcome through unity and preparation for socialist revolution.

He directed the Martyrs Foundation to mobilize families of martyrs and the disappeared, expressing confidence that the campaign would help unite all communist and patriotic forces.
