KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel has urged all sides to exercise restraint during the country’s current crisis, appealing for cooperation to maintain peace and order.

In a statement issued on Thursday, President Paudel said efforts were underway to find a solution to the political deadlock within the constitutional framework.

He assured that he has been holding continuous consultations and making every possible effort to safeguard democracy and preserve peace.

The President also called on the public to remain confident that the demands of the protesting citizens would be addressed and that a resolution to the ongoing crisis would be sought at the earliest.
