KATHMANDU: The Parsa District Court has demanded Rs 10 million in bail from Rabi Lamichhane, Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).

On Tuesday, a single bench led by Judge Rudra Subedi issued the order regarding the alleged embezzlement of funds from the Sano Paila Saving and Credit Cooperative.

Lamichhane, who is among 29 individuals facing charges in the case, visited the court before heading to Chitwan to register his candidacy for the upcoming elections.

The court proceedings follow a detailed investigation into the cooperative’s financial irregularities.
