KATHMANDU : Ram Kumari Jhakri, a leader of the CPN Unified Socialist, has stated that she has no information about any clarification sought from her by the party.
She arrived at the party’s central office in Aloknagar as the secretariat meeting was about to start and told journalists that she heard the clarification was being sought through the media.
“The clarification apparently has been asked through the media by some powerful officials,” said leader Jhakri. “I have not been asked for any clarification. I heard about it all morning until my ears were ringing.”
She also said that she heard leaders saying on television that clarification would be demanded and that she might be expelled from the party.
“I heard statements like ‘Clarification will be asked, and the party will expel her.’ That is in relation to the content I shared,” she said.
“The party had also issued a directive on June 29 not to engage in any reactions or counteractions. After that directive, they spoke very harshly as if encouraging it.”
She complained that responsible officials have personally attacked and verbally abused her.
“They have been speaking even on a personal level, abusing and body-shaming me,” Jhakri said.
