LUMBINI: The Rastriya Janamukti Party has unveiled its election manifesto for the election to the House of Representatives scheduled for March 5.
The election manifesto was unveiled by organizing a press conference at party’s district office at Mangalapur today.
The manifesto has given priority to the issues including federalism, form of governance, industrial development and employment, corruption control, education and health.
The election manifesto has declared corruption as treason. It emphasizes on fully proportional representation election system, providing health insurance to all Nepalis along with the commitment of taking ownership of manifestoes issued in previous elections.
On the occasion, Party Chairperson Keshav Bahadur Thapa Suryabanshi shared that the party has been launched anti-corruption campaign since its establishment, stressing the need of taking punishment of life-time imprisonment to those involved in corruption.
He opined that party’s understanding is that the corruption control and good governance are the objectives of the Gen Z movement and expressed the view that the country could move forwards in the journey of prosperity if stern action is taken against corruption.
Similarly, General-Secretary Top Aslami pointed out the need of involvement for further achievements by protecting the achievements gained from the constitution.
He laid emphasis on the need of forming a powerful commission and the state should be restructured based on the suggestions of the commission.
Party’s Central Secretary Mojib Ali shared that there are 17 candidates across the country along with 10 in Lumbini province and 12 candidates in PR election category.
