BHAIRAHAWA: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is holding a meeting of its parliamentary party today, Wednesday, in Bhairahawa.

The meeting has been scheduled for 1 PM at the Ramada Hotel in Bhairahawa.

Discussions will focus on reviewing the ongoing monsoon session of Parliament, the “cooling-off period,” and the functioning of constitutional bodies.

RSP leaders and MPs are currently in Bhairahawa as part of a campaign targeting the Rupandehi-3 constituency.

They have also held consultations with party president Rabi Lamichhane, who is currently in Bhairahawa prison.

Earlier on Tuesday, the acting party president had met Lamichhane for discussions.

According to the party, since lawmakers were already in Bhairahawa for the Rupandehi-3 by-election campaign, the meeting was scheduled for today.

The agenda includes reviewing parliamentary proceedings and discussing institutional performance.

The RSP is conducting several activities in view of the upcoming by-election in Rupandehi-3, including a signature campaign demanding justice for its president and voter outreach initiatives.

The by-election in Rupandehi-3 has been announced for November 3.
