KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli has clarified that there is no disagreement within the ruling coalition, stating that the government is moving forward with the right policies for stability, good governance, and development.

Speaking at the 24th National Convention of ANNFSU, he reiterated that power will be handed over to the Nepali Congress after 13 months as per the agreement between Congress and UML.

Oli said that despite being in coalition now, the parties will compete separately in the next election, emphasizing that UML is working toward securing a single-party majority under “Mission 2084.” He dismissed any confusion regarding UML’s electoral goals.

Highlighting the role of technology-savvy youth, Oli called on student leaders to take charge in realizing UML’s vision of a prosperous Nepal and happy Nepalis, grounded in people’s multiparty democracy.

Recalling the 1980 referendum push led by ANNFSU, Oli praised the student movement’s legacy in establishing democracy and republicanism. He stressed that preserving and strengthening the republic must now be a student priority.

Oli warned ANNFSU members against violent acts like vandalism, arson, and physical assault in educational institutions. He urged the organization to be disciplined, responsible, and civil in both speech and conduct.

Oli addressed misconceptions about internal party democracy, saying that unity—not chaos or infighting—leads to democratic strength. He advised handling differences through friendly elections, if necessary, not by sowing discord.
