KATHMANDU: Speaker Devraj Ghimire has issued a ruling directing the government to initiate high-level diplomatic dialogue with India regarding the death of Nepali student Prisa Shah at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) in Odisha.
The issue was raised during the zero hour of the House of Representatives session on Monday by several lawmakers. Following the discussion, Speaker Ghimire made the ruling.
Shah was found dead, reportedly by hanging. Speaker Ghimire said the incident has drawn serious attention from the Parliament.
