KATHMANDU: Sudha Sharma Gautam and Bablu Gupta were sworn in as Minister of Health and Population and Minister of Youth and Sports, respectively, today at Shital Niwas, the President’s official residence.

With their induction, Prime Minister Sushila Karki’s cabinet now consists of 10 members, including the Prime Minister.

Earlier, Khagendra Sunar and Ganpatilal Shrestha were considered for ministerial posts but were dropped due to controversies and last-minute portfolio changes.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Karki, Chief Justice Prakashman Singh Raut, Speaker Devraj Ghimire, former Prime Ministers, heads and officials of constitutional bodies, chiefs of diplomatic missions, senior government officials, and leaders of security agencies.
