KATHMANDU: Toshima Karki, leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and former lawmaker, has openly expressed anger against the party’s founding members.

In a Facebook post, she warned of exposing those who attacked her with “get out” remarks when she suggested party reforms.

Karki wrote, “When political issues are raised responsibly to strengthen the party, make it successful, and implement timely transformations, to be told ‘get out’ and bullied while others watch silently—these people should be publicly exposed.”

She added that although she submitted a four-point letter aimed at building the party, rumors were spread that she intended to resign.

She questioned, “Why spread rumors about my resignation? Why exaggerate and claim I am seeking alternatives to the party chair without even studying the four points I submitted for party-building purposes? Why conduct a media trial to create confusion within party ranks, suggesting that those seeking alternatives should be expelled?”

Karki also challenged the founders to hold a special general convention. She wrote, “If they have the courage, the founders should hold an open special convention.

Toshima has the audacity to take up responsibilities given by the blessings of the party chair and the votes of millions of party workers and well-wishers”

She did not reveal the names of those who allegedly told her to “get out” or bullied her.
