KATHMANDU: The CPN (UML) has announced a Central Secretariat meeting for Saturday at 1 PM. The meeting will determine the candidates for the House of Representatives election, which is slated for March 5, as stated by Meen Bahadur Shahi, the head of UML’s Central Department of Publicity and Publication.

The party aims to select one candidate for each electoral constituency based on the recommendations from district and provincial committees. UML has mandated that at least two names be put forward, including one woman. The timeline for submitting candidacy nominations for the election is set for January 20.

The meeting will take place at the UML Central Office, Chyasal, Lalitpur.
