KATHMANDU:  The CPN UML has announced a capital city focused committee as per its updated party statute. The announcement was made amidst a program attended by Chairman KP Sharma Oli.

It has also launched a special campaign for the upcoming House of Representatives (HoR) election.

The second statute convention of the UML held at Godawari, Lalitpur from September 5-7 had established a provincial organization committee by incorporating the district committees of the Kathmandu Valley. As per the provision, Narayan Silwal (Kathmandu) is leading this committee.

The committee also comprises Prem Maharajan (Lalitpur), Milan Dharel (valley special), Sashi Jung Thapa (Bhaktapur) and Bilimaya Ghale (Kathmandu).

Dr Rajan Bhattarai is the in-charge of the committee.
