KATHMANDU: Ahead of Friday’s Secretariat meeting, CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has drafted a proposed list of department heads and organization in-charges.

The list, presented during Monday’s secretariat session, outlines key leadership roles across the party’s various wings and provincial divisions.

Under the proposed lineup, Vice-Chairmen and top leaders have been assigned major coordinating roles.

Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ is tapped for good governance, Bishnu Prasad Paudel for party departments, Prithvi Subba Gurung for social development, Gokarna Bista for infrastructure, and Raghuji Panta for human resources.

General Secretary Shankar Pokharel will oversee organizational work and head the central office, while Deputy General Secretaries Lekhraj Bhatta, Raghubir Mahaseth, and Yogesh Bhattarai are proposed for policy, agriculture, and planning portfolios respectively.

The roster also designates provincial in-charges and department heads among Secretaries and Central Committee members.

Notable assignments include Chhabilal Biswokarma (Lumbini), Khagaraj Adhikari (Gandaki), Yamlal Kandel (Karnali), Sher Dhan Rai (Koshi), Rajan Bhattarai (Capital Special), and Mahesh Basnet (Bagmati).

Additionally, Bhanubhakta Dhakal has been proposed for the Organization Department, Padma Kumari Aryal for Parliamentary Affairs, and several other members for specialized sectors including energy, tourism, law, and diaspora chapters.
