KATHMANDU: The Secretariat meeting of the CPN (UML) has started at the residence of party chairman KP Sharma Oli in Gundu.

This is the first formal meeting of the UML since the Gen Z movement, drawing widespread attention.

The Gen Z movement had toppled the government led by UML chairman KP Oli.

According to reports, today’s meeting will discuss the Gen Z movement, the physical and human losses it caused, the role of the then government, and the party’s future roadmap.

It is said that most office bearers are prepared to urge Oli to step down at the meeting.Earlier, during one-on-one meetings, UML leaders had also advised Oli to relinquish leadership and take on a guiding role.

However, UML Deputy General Secretary Pradeep Gyawali stated that today’s agenda is limited to reviewing the party’s statute convention held in Godawari and the political situation that emerged afterward.
