KATHMANDU: The Secretariat meeting of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist), or UML, has begun in Gundu, Bhaktapur.

According to party central office secretary Dr. Bhishma Adhikari, the meeting is being held under the chairmanship of party chair KP Sharma Oli.

He said that today’s meeting will focus on preparations for the upcoming 11th National General Convention and on launching a public campaign for the reinstatement of Parliament.

The UML has already decided to hold its 11th National General Convention in Pokhara from December 13 to 15.

Similarly, today’s meeting will also set criteria for selecting convention representatives and form various subcommittees to successfully organize the convention.
