BHAKTAPUR:The CPN (UML) Central Secretariat is holding its meeting today (Friday) at 11 a.m. in Gundu.
The meeting will discuss the current political situation, internal party management, the party’s position after the Gen Z movement, and finalize the agenda for the upcoming Central Committee meeting.
Earlier, the meeting scheduled for October 5 and 6 was postponed due to continuous rainfall.
In today’s meeting, Chairperson KP Sharma Oli is expected to brief members about his recent virtual meetings with provincial, district, and diaspora heads, as well as the government’s possible moves and the prospects of early elections.
According to Central Office Secretary Dr. Bhisma Adhikari, the Central Committee meeting has been postponed by a few days due to incomplete preparations.
The meeting, initially planned for October 13, will now be held from October 15 to 17.
Adhikari also said that the venue for the meeting has not been finalized yet since the central office in Chyasal suffered fire damage and vandalism during the Gen Z movement.
