UML’s Secretariat meeting postponed

KATHMANDU: A Secretariat meeting of the CPN (UML) scheduled for Sunday has been postponed due to the adverse situation in the wake of landslide, flood and inundation following incessant rainfall.

The 58th Secretariat meeting scheduled for Sunday was postponed till coming Friday, said Secretary at the CPN (UML) Party Office, Dr Bhisma Adhikari.

Similarly, CPN (UML) central committee meeting has also been scheduled in Kathmandu from October 13-15.

Adhikari added that the Secretariat meeting would determine further strategy, and new course of action. Earlier on September 28, the UML’s Secretariat meeting was held.

Meanwhile, issuing a message on Saturday, UML General-Secretary Shankar Pokhrel has requested the party leaders and cadres to involve in rescue making coordination with state’s bodies during the incident of natural disaster.

“We request all to be prepared as there is possibility of landslide, flood and inundation due to heavy rainfall. Also, request the local party committees to collaborate with state bodies as per the need,” he shared.
