KATHMANDU: Ram Kumari Jhakri, a leader of the CPN (Unified Socialist), has accused senior party officials of using violent language and body shaming against her.
In a letter to party chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal on Thursday, Jhakri said the attacks began after her speech at the Youth Union Lumbini Province meeting on June 28.
Titled “Regarding My Clarification,” the letter claims party officials have politically targeted her on media and social platforms, defaming her and attacking her personal health.
She said the behavior has harmed the party, noting that despite the general secretary’s directive on June 29 to remain silent, some officials continued to make misleading statements suggesting she was being asked for clarification.
Jhakri stated she has received no formal or informal clarification request but has asked to be given a chance to respond if needed.
Earlier, party leaders had claimed she would face clarification and possible action.
