KATHMANDU: Pushpa kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Coordinator of the CPN (Maoist Centre), has commented on the possibility of uniting with the CPN (UML).

At a gathering held in Benighat-Rorang, Dhading, Coordinator Prachanda spoke with youth leaders and party activists, emphasizing that the upcoming elections would be the party’s primary agenda.

“From now on, the Maoist line is the election,” he stated, adding, “Immediately after Tihar, the process of uniting with the parties within the Socialist Front will move forward.”

Addressing the prospects of a merger with CPN (UML), he said, “As long as KP Oli remains the leader, unity with UML is impossible. But if Oli is no longer in leadership, the door for unity could open.”

During discussions with participating youth and party leaders, Prachanda noted that the younger generation is beginning to recognize the Maoist ideology and guidance as correct.

“I am even engaging in dialogue with the Gen Z youths. They have started to understand that the Maoists are on the right path,” he said.

At the meeting, he also instructed party leaders and cadres to engage in organized and planned efforts for the upcoming elections.
