Voting begins to elect new leadership of National Youth Association

POKHARA: Voting has begun to select the new leadership of the National Youth Association Nepal, the youth wing of the CPN-UML. After extended efforts to reach a consensus, voting commenced at 10 AM on Tuesday at the Pokhara Assembly Hall.

Outgoing Chairperson Kshitiz Thebe and General Secretary Suman Puri are contesting for the leadership, each fielding their own panel of candidates. A total of 42 electronic voting machines have been installed, with separate voting booths allocated for each province.

From Thebe’s panel, Maharaj Gurung and Binay Shah are contesting for the post of Vice Chair, while Mahesh Chaulagain is the candidate for General Secretary.

Similarly, from Puri’s panel, Prakash Gautam and Parbat Bhandari are running for Vice Chair, and Kuber Adhikari is contesting for General Secretary.
