KATHMANDU: A group of young supporters of the CPN (Maoist Center) has formed a new organization called the Gen Z Red Force.

At a press conference held in Kathmandu on Sunday, they announced that the group has already appointed coordinators in 65 districts and across all seven provinces.

Gen Z Red Force Chairperson Smriti Timalsina outlined the group’s agenda, which includes advocating for a direct executive presidential system, implementing a fully proportional electoral system, launching an anti-corruption campaign, and investigating the assets of all those who have held power since 1950.

Timalsina emphasized that the anti-corruption campaign would begin with scrutinizing the assets of leaders within the Maoist Center.

She stated that if corruption is confirmed, even the party chairman could be held accountable and imprisoned, underlining that the Red Force will tolerate no corruption.

She also highlighted that the group’s agenda includes promoting industries and creating employment opportunities.

Timalsina warned that historically, Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) have labeled revolutionary and reformist forces as terrorists, and she expressed concern that in the near future, the Gen Z Red Force could also be declared a terrorist organization.
