KATHMANDU: OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT, is preparing to launch a web browser powered by artificial intelligence. It is expected that OpenAI will introduce this AI-based browser within a few weeks.

It is claimed that this browser will provide users with all the necessary information directly within the browser itself. If OpenAI launches an AI-powered browser, analysts believe it could pose a significant threat to Google. Currently, Chrome is the most widely used browser, holding an estimated 60 to 70 percent of the market share.

The new AI browser is said to offer users an exceptional experience. With it, users will reportedly be able to access all the information they need without having to visit individual websites.

According to reports, the browser OpenAI is developing will be based on Chromium—an open-source code platform. Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Opera browsers have also been developed using Chromium.
