KATHMANDU: A total lunar eclipse will be visible from Kathmandu on the night of Sunday, September 7, coinciding with the full moon of the bright fortnight in the month of September.
According to the Nepal Panchanga Nirnayak Bikas Samiti (Nepal Calendar Determination Committee), the eclipse will begin at 10:11 p.m. on September 7 and will last for three and a half hours, concluding at 1:04 a.m. on September 8.
This will be the first eclipse of the year 2025 in Nepal.
A lunar eclipse always occurs on the night of the full moon.
