48 Superintendents of Police transferred

KATHMANDU: Nepal Police has transferred 48 Superintendents of Police (SPs).

Police Headquarters, Naxal, carried out a large-scale reshuffle of district police chiefs as the elections draw closer.

SPs including Anantaram Sharma, Anil Kumar Khadka, Amarendra Bahadur Singh, Arjun Prasad Timilsina, Eknarayan Koirala, Kaji Kumar Acharya, Kuldeep Chand, Keshav Bhattarai, Gajusiddhi Bajracharya, and Gautam Mishra, among others, have been transferred.

Gautam Mishra has been moved from the Financial Administration Division of the Sudurpaschim Province Police Office to the District Police Range, Lalitpur. The current Lalitpur police chief, Chakraraj Joshi, has been sent to the Nepal Police Central Special Task Force.

Basundhara Khadka has been posted to Jhapa, which is considered an election hotspot. She was previously serving at the Bagmati Province Human Resource Management Division in Hetauda.
