KATHMANDU: The Armed Police Force (APF) Nepal has recommended the promotion of 77 officers to fill vacant positions, according to APF Central Spokesperson Kalidas Dhauwaji.
The promotion list includes 6 officers to Senior Superintendent of Armed Police (SSP), 22 to Superintendent of Armed Police (SP), 1 Technical Superintendent of Armed Police, and 48 to Deputy Superintendent of Armed Police (DSP).
Dhauju informed that promotions were made based on seniority, professional competence, and performance evaluation, which is expected to enhance the career development and morale of the security personnel.
Those recommended for promotion to SSP are from the first group of the second batch, while promotions to SP include officers from the third batch, alternate groups of the same batch, and the fourth batch, selected based on seniority, competence, and performance.
Officers recommended for DSP promotions are from the ninth batch. Earlier, APF Headquarters had issued a notice on July 15 inviting eligible candidates to submit their promotion forms within 15 days.
Applicants were required to submit copies of their educational qualifications and other necessary documents to the Promotion Committee Secretariat for evaluation.
