KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Home Affairs has recommended four police officers for promotion to the rank of Additional Inspector General (AIG).

The promotion committee under the ministry decided to recommend DIGs Sushil Singh Rathore, Umaprasad Chaturvedi, Himalayakumar Shrestha, and Dambar Bahadur BK for the elevation.

Rathore, who secured the top rank in the promotion list, is currently serving in the Administration Department, Financial Administration, and Management Directorate at the Police Headquarters.

Chaturvedi is posted at the Madhesh Province Police Office, Shrestha at the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), and BK at the Sudurpashchim Province Police Office.
