KATHMANDU: Minister for Home Affairs, and Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Om Prakash Aryal, has directed the Armed Police Force to operate in the field with high morale and motivation.
Addressing a programme held after inspecting the APF Headquarters at local Halchowk today, Home Minister Aryal recalled that the APF Nepal has been overcoming various challenging situations since its establishment. He stated, “There is no greater duty than to save the lives of the Nepali people.”
The Armed Police Force of Nepal has, under the directives of the prioritization, been active in border security, revenue collection, disaster management, maintaining border pillars, controlling cross-border crime, illegal smuggling, human trafficking, and the transportation of arms and drugs, according to Home Minister Aryal.
Inspector General of APF Raju Aryal mentioned that the Armed Police Force of Nepal provides security in accordance with public expectations, dedicated to the service and safety of the state and its citizens, and has maintained its reputation and public trust by being disciplined, duty-bound, and committed to service while operating at national and international levels.
Highlighting the effective role of the Armed Police Force in contributing to the state’s economy through controlling revenue leakage and promoting legitimate trade.
Inspector General Aryal expressed confidence that increasing the necessary manpower and the number of border outposts in the border areas could yield further achievements.
