KATHMANDU: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has reiterated the government’s commitment to maintaining security, restoring disrupted police infrastructure, and taking action against unlawful activities under the Gen Z Movement.

Speaking with journalists at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Aryal stated that police posts damaged during the Gen Z Movement have been reinstated, though he did not specify the total number affected.

He added that escaped prisoners have been instructed to return, and those failing to comply will now be taken into custody.

Confiscated weapons have also been requested to be returned, with the minister warning that operations will be launched if they are not surrendered.

Addressing threats and harassment under the Gen Z name, Aryal stressed that such activities are illegal and opposed to the movement’s original aim of promoting good governance.

“Those engaging in such wrongful acts, including threatening offices, will be brought under control,” he said.

He assured the public that the government is closely monitoring these actions, and security personnel and administrative authorities are actively involved to ensure peace.

Aryal also invited individuals who feel personally threatened to submit applications, assuring that every threat will be assessed and addressed promptly.
