JANAKPUR: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal arrived in Janakpur on Monday to review the security situation and preparations for the upcoming House of Representatives election.

He was accompanied by Minister for Industry and Law Anil Kumar Sinha, Minister for Youth and Sports Bablu Gupta, and Home Secretary Rameshwar Dangal, among others.

Earlier in the day, the ministerial team visited various Chhath ghats in Janakpur.

According to Chief District Officer Shankar Hari Acharya, Minister Aryal is scheduled to meet with local security chiefs to receive briefings on the current situation.

A meeting of the District Security Committee will also be held under the chairmanship of Home Minister Aryal to discuss election security and peace management in the district.
