KATHMANDU: Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) Ashok Raj Sigdel directed the Nepali Army to coordinate closely with other security agencies and stakeholders to ensure the House of Representatives election, scheduled for March 5, is conducted in a safe and secure manner.
Addressing the closing session of the Divisional Commanders’ Coordination Meeting at the Army Headquarters, he emphasized mobilization in line with the Integrated Election Security Plan-2082 BS, unity and collective responsibility among all ranks, and praised divisional commanders for their effective performance.

The conference reviewed the prevailing security situation, election-related training and logistical preparedness, and deliberated on contemporary security issues, with the presence of senior army officials including the Chief of General Staff and Lieutenant Generals.
