KATHMANDU: The Nepal Army has cautioned that it will mobilize all security agencies from 10:00 pm onward if arson, looting, and vandalism continue across the country.
In a statement, the Army said some groups were taking advantage of the unrest to damage public and private property.
It appealed to the public to extend full cooperation in restoring peace.
Chief of Army Staff Ashok Raj Sigdel, in a video address Tuesday evening, urged protesters to call off their agitation and join dialogue to resolve the crisis peacefully.
General Sigdel stressed the Army’s historic role in safeguarding Nepal’s sovereignty, unity, heritage, and the safety of citizens and foreign diplomatic missions, even in difficult times.
