KATHMANDU: A clash between two groups has escalated in Palhinandan Rural Municipality-3, Belaspur, Nawalparasi. Twenty people have been injured in a clash in Nawalparasi after a dispute over a love affair escalated.
A large number of police have been mobilized to control the situation. The police vehicle that went to control the clash between two local groups in Belaspur has been burned.
To control the situation, police fired five rounds of tear gas and three rounds of aerial shots, according to a police personnel.
Police officials informed that 5 locals, 12 civil police officers, and 4 armed police officers were injured while trying to calm the crowd. The situation is now under control.
