MAKWANPUR: A Nepal Army truck met with an accident in Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City–15, Churiyamai along the East-West Highway, injuring 16 personnel.

The truck (registration number Lu1Ga 280), under the command of Lieutenant Harsha Bikram Adhikari from No. 2 Rajdal Battalion, Tanahun, was heading toward Dhanusha when it fell about 12 feet into a stream from a bridge at Churiyamai.

According to District Police Office spokesperson DSP Shyamu Aryal, all the injured were rescued and admitted to Hetauda Hospital for treatment.
