BAGMATI: Identities of five out of six persons deceased in the Bhimphedi jeep accident have been established so far.
They are Sabita Lamsal, 40, of Hetauda sub-metropolis-4; Nikhil Agrawal, 29, of Hetauda sub-metropolis-2; Krishna Prasad Phunyal, 56, of Hetauda sub-metropolis-10; and Arbind Kumar, 50, and Rajanis Kumar, 42, of Bihar state in India, said Pushkar Bogati, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Makawanpur.
However, identity of a man is yet to be ascertained, DSP Bogati added.
Similarly, injured ones Ganesh Thapa and Avyas Lamsal from Hetauda sub-metropolis-4 are receiving treatment at Chitwan-based Old Medical College while another Richa Chaudhary, 21, from Chandrapur municipality of Rautahat is undergoing treatment at Hetauda Hospital.
The accident took place when a jeep (Na 1 Ja 1778) heading towards Hetauda from Kathmandu fell 100 meters off the road at Bhimphedi rural municipality-6 along Bhimphedi-Kulekhani-Kathmandu road on Sunday evening.
All six persons injured seriously in the accident died while receiving treatment at Hetauda Hospital on Sunday night, said police.
