BAGMATI: A boy died after being struck by a lightning that occurred in Makwanpur district on Thursday.

Spokesperson at District Police Office, Makwanpur, DSP Shyamu Aryal, shared that the victim was 14-year-old Kanchha Gole from Thamlek of Kailash rural municipality-9. Gole died on the spot when the thunder bolt struck him at his home.

Similarly, 32-year-old Krishna Bahadur Shrestha was injured in a lightning that occurred at Bagmati rural municipality-2 on Thursday itself. The incident occurred when Shrestha was at his home. He has been receiving treatment at a local health post, the police added.

Even a house belonging to a local Kamal Jung Ranamagar received damage in the lightning.
