KATHMANDU: On the occasion of the 35th Establishment Day of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), Nepal News special representative Khila Nath Dhakal was honored for his contribution to promoting good governance and corruption control through journalism.
At a special ceremony held at Police Headquarters on Wednesday, Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav presented Dhakal with an award and letter of appreciation.
Alongside Dhakal, senior correspondent of Ukalo.com Deepa Dahal, Nepal Samacharpatra assistant editor Sunil Maharjan, and Gorkhapatra Daily’s Mugu correspondent Hari Krishna Aidi were also recognized.
During the program, Prime Minister Sushila Karki presented awards to employees of the Commission. The CIAA also honored Dipesh Ghimire for his role in advancing good governance and anti-corruption efforts through articles and written contributions.
The event was attended by President Ram Chandra Paudel, Vice President Yadav, Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut, National Assembly Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal, CIAA Chief Commissioner Prem Kumar Rai, and other senior officials.
