SUNSARI: A couple has been found dead in their home at Babiya, Ward No. 9 of Inaruwa Municipality in Sunsari district.

According to police, 30-year-old Shabeda Khatun, wife of 35-year-old Sukdev Sharma, was found lifeless on the bed, while Sukdev was discovered hanging.

Both were residents of Ward No. 9 and had married across caste lines.

A team from the District Police Office, Sunsari, is preparing to collect the bodies for inquest and post-mortem examination.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Suman Kumar Timilsina of Sunsari confirmed that police had reached the site and begun an investigation into the incident.
