KKATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former Kathmandu Congress President Tirtha Ram Dangol, calling it an irreparable loss to the party.

Speaking at a memorial ceremony held in Kathmandu on Thursday, Deuba praised Dangol’s leadership role in party organization building and the democratic movement of Nepal as unforgettable.

Deuba also suggested that a book should be published about the late leader to inform future generations about his significant contributions.

The event, organized by the Kathmandu District Committee of the Nepali Congress, was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister Prakash Man Singh, Health and Population Minister Pradeep Paudel, leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula, and other party members.

Dangol passed away at the age of 77 on Baisakh 13.
