DHARAN: The identity of five people killed in a road accident in Dharan this afternoon was confirmed, Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Sunsari, Chandra Khadka said.

Those deceased are identified as Dhairiya Kumar Yadav of Samsi Rural Municipality in Mahottari district, 18-month-old baby Risham Kumar Mandal of Janakpur, Omesh Rai of Barahachhetra-3 in Sunsari district, Nayan Thapa Magar of Mechinagar in Jhapa district and Subekshya Subba of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City-13.

The bus (Ko 1 Kha 7119) en route to Dharan from Dhankuta district hit a roadside medical building at Zero Point of Dharan, killing five people and leaving 13 other injured, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Khadka.

Those injured ones are receiving treatment at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan.
