TANAHUN: A microbus carrying passengers from Dulegaunda to Lalim in Tanahun plunged about 20 meters off the road near Health Post Chowk in Shuklagandaki Municipality–4 on Saturday, injuring eleven people, including a 14-month-old child.

The accident occurred shortly after a landslide struck the area, making the road treacherous.

The vehicle, bearing registration number Ga 1 Ja 8317, went off the road as it navigated the landslide-affected stretch.

Three of the injured have been referred to Gandaki Medical College, Pokhara for further treatment, while the remaining passengers are receiving care at Tanahun Sewa Hospital in Dulegaunda.

Authorities have cautioned travelers to remain vigilant, as heavy rainfall has increased the risk of landslides along hilly roads in the district.
