BAJURA: A massive fire broke out in Bamka Bazaar of Budhiganga Municipality-6 in Bajura district today.
The blaze started around 4 PM when a gas cylinder exploded at the Navadurga Hotel located in Bamka.
According to the District Police Office, Bajura, it took nearly two hours to bring the fire under control with the help of local residents and police personnel.
Police Inspector Dev Bahadur Chaudhary of the District Police Office said that the fire engulfed around 16 shops in Bamka Bazaar, destroying food items, clothes, and other goods stored there.
He added, “We have only just managed to bring the fire under control, so it is still unclear how much property has been lost.”
