Multiple road accidents leave 2 dead and 65 injured

KATHMANDU: Separate road accidents on Monday in Arghakhanchi, Khotang, Sindhuli, and Gulmi districts left two people dead and 65 others injured.

In Arghakhanchi’s Sandhikharka, a minibus (No. Lu 1 Ja 4723) traveling from Butwal to Purkot, Gulmi, crashed around 2 a.m., killing 10-year-old Arun Thapamagar of Madane-6, Purkot, and 13-year-old Narayan Paudel of Madane-7, Netakhark. Twenty-four others were injured, three critically, and are receiving treatment at Sandhikharka Hospital.

In Khotang’s Halesi-Tuwachung Municipality-10, a Sumo vehicle (No. Na 1 Ja 6094) en route from Kathmandu to Diktel crashed on the Mid-Hill Highway, injuring seven people, all under treatment at Khotang Hospital.

Near Khurkot in Sindhuli, a Bolero vehicle fell into the Sun Koshi River, injuring 19. Meanwhile, a bus (No. Lu 1 Kha 7776) from Tamghas, Gulmi, crashed in Resunga Municipality, leaving 15 injured, all receiving care at Gulmi Hospital.
