NC President Thapa expresses sorrow over death of one Nepali in UAE

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Gagan Kumar Thapa has expressed his deep sorrow over the death of one Nepali in the United Arab Emirates in the latest attack.

Issuing a statement today, Thapa paid tribute to the deceased youth and extended heartfelt condolences to the grieving families. He urged the Nepali citizens there to take all possible precautions against possible threats to life and to stay safe.

He also drew the government’s attention to the urgent need for proper alertness and coordination to ensure the safety of Nepali citizens in conflict-affected and vulnerable areas abroad.

President Thapa urged the government to promptly take necessary initiatives to safeguard Nepali citizens overseas by accelerating diplomatic efforts and making them more effective and results-oriented.

He further called upon various liaison committees, the Non-Resident Nepali Association, and the entire community to play active roles in identifying Nepali citizens in distress, extending support to them, and coordinating necessary arrangements for their convenience and safety.
