KATHMANDU: The National Examination Board has urged the public not to trust misleading information circulating on social media.

This request follows a false claim that the question paper for the Class 12 exams, which began on Sunday, had been leaked.

In a statement released by the Board, it was clarified, “The information circulating on social media about a student from a certain school having received the compulsory English subject’s question paper before the exam began has been thoroughly investigated by officials from the District Examination Coordination Committee, Bhaktapur, the Chief District Officer of Bhaktapur, and the staff of the National Examination Board. It has been found to be false and misleading.”

The Controller of Examinations also emphasized in the statement that such actions harm students’ emotional well-being, and therefore, the Board has requested that individuals refrain from posting unverified information on social media.
