KATHMANDU: On Wednesday afternoon at around 2:30 PM, a lightning strike in Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality, Ward No. 1, Chitwan, resulted in the death of 51-year-old Bir Bahadur Chepang.

His son was injured in the incident. The rural municipality chairperson, Dan Bahadur Gurung, confirmed the event.

The District Police Office of Chitwan has deployed officers to the site and stated that a detailed report is yet to come.
