WALING: A person died of electric shock at Kolma of Putalibazaar municipality-9 in Syangja district on Saturday afternoon.

Arun Kumar Chaudhary, 25, originally from Rangapur of Gujra municipality-1 in Rautahat district accidentally caught the current while fixing an internet cable to an electricity pole. He was an employee of the Fiber Net in Pokhara, according to Prashanna Raj Chaudhary, an information officer at District Police Office, Syangja.

Chaudhary was rushed to hospital after the incident, but breathed his last during treatment, the police added. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
